Canadian company sends employees on blind dates

It has recently been reported that a Canadian accountancy firm encourages its employees to go on blind dates with each other.

For many HR people or business owners in this country, this sounds like all of the possible pitfalls of the annual Christmas party but repeated week in, week out!

But they believe it’s good for staff to meet up with each other because their 250 employees might not otherwise have any contact.

The blind dates involve coffee or lunch rather than anything after hours, and the company believes that they have been very beneficial to its overall culture.
