Trainee doctor banned for using Taken quote on Facebook

A trainee doctor has been banned from practicing medicine after posting a famous Liam Neeson film quote on his Facebook page.

Ravindu Thilakawardhana, who was in his fourth year studying medicine at the University of Leicester, posted the quote “I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you” along with a photo of Liam Neeson in response to another student putting explicit photos of his friend online.

He was deemed “unfit to practice medicine” and kicked off the course by a university disciplinary panel in April last year.

A High Court judge upheld the university’s decision, ruling that the panel were right to conclude that his actions were “fundamentally  incompatible with continuing on a medical course or eventually practicing as a doctor.”
