Housing Litigation
Our Housing Litigation Team advises mainly landlords in relation to all types of residential tenancy litigation.
The unit is headed by Robert Thomson, a Partner in the firm with over 20 years experience of housing litigation. He is assisted principally by Julia Williams, an Assistant Solicitor within the Litigation Department.
The work of this team includes:
- Drafting of residential Tenancy Agreements
- Advising on the form and implication of existing Agreements
- Drafting and serving Notices seeking possession pursuant to the Housing Act 1988 and earlier legislation
- Advising and commencing proceedings in respect of possession claims
- Advising and, where appropriate, defending proceedings relating to issues of disrepair
- Advising on the recovery of rent arrears or other sums due
