About The Department
The Private Client Department is designed to ensure that most of an individual’s likely personal needs can be provided by the same inter related department. The department has three sections dealing with family issues, wills and probate and residential property.
The family section is able to offer a specialist service with acknowledged expertise within the department dealing with all matters which are likely to affect a couple who are either planning to marry or live together or unfortunately are separating and/or divorcing. The preparation of cohabitation agreements and pre-nuptial agreements is a more common task than ever before and the ongoing increase in the divorce/separation rate requires expert advice to be made available to clients in these unfortunate circumstances.
Our lawyers are trained in collaborative law which provides an alternative amicable approach for those couples wishing to achieve fair outcomes in a conciliatory way without the acrimony of court proceedings.
The provision of expert advice and the making of a will can be very important and we have the expertise to be able to offer very specialist advice in this complex field. Helping with the creation of trusts and overseeing an estate are also services that are provided.
The department also offers a dynamic residential property service which provides for persons who are involved in the buying, selling or leasing of residential property. We can also produce and advise on Home Information Packs.
Gosschalks is proud and pleased to offer a specialist inter related service for the needs of all individuals.
