Richard joined the firm in September 1994. He was made an Associate in September 1999 and became a Partner in September 2001.
Richard deals primarily with the licensing of public houses, supermarkets and betting offices on behalf of a number of household names across the UK. He also acts for individuals both locally and nationally.

An experienced Licensing lawyer, Richard has been commended by both the Legal 500 and Chambers for the quality of his advocacy and is very well respected amongst his clients and peers alike.
Richard continues to receive high profile recognition in the Chambers guide to the legal profession where he is ranked in the highest band of licensing solicitors in the UK. The 2013 edition of Chambers stated that he , "gives the best outcome with minimal risks for the business" whilst the 2014 Legal 500 recorded that, "Richard Taylor is praised for his ‘knowledge of gambling and alcohol licensing law’."
