Ashlie joined Gosschalks in 2001. She obtained a degree in Politics at Leeds University in 1993 before attending The College of Law in York for two years. She graduated from there in 1995 and trained as a solicitor at a firm in Hull before working in the York and Beverley branches upon qualification in January 1998.
Ashlie specialises in divorce and the financial /children issues arising from marital breakdown. She also deals with cohabitation disputes.
Ashlie is a member of the Family Law Panel. She is a committee member of the local branch of Resolution which is a body of solicitors who are committed to dealing with marital breakdown in a way which eases the financial and emotional burden for the parties. She was Press Officer for the local branch of Resolution for two years and Treasurer for one year.
Ashlie is trained in Collaborative Law which provides an amicable alternative for couples who want to reach fair solutions and who wish to avoid the acrimony that can arise with the more traditional approach where the courts are involved.
Ashlie has acted as the legal advisor in a regular "Family Law Phone-In " for Radio Humberside and has also appeared for Channel Five News commenting about changes to Family Law.
