Gosschalks announces bumper crop of new recruits, promotions and trainees

Gosschalks announced a raft of 12 new recruits and internal promotions as part of our continued investment in growth.

Heading the list of promotions is commercial litigation lawyer, Phil Osborne, who has been promoted to Partner within the firm.  Phil is a product of the highly successful graduate recruitment scheme at Gosschalks having initially joined as a trainee 7 years ago.

More promotions were announced throughout the firm with the appointment of three newly promoted associates: Sarah Coates-Madden (Commercial Litigation), Julia Madden (Residential Property) and Will Buckenham (Commercial Litigation/Construction Law).

Other promotions have also been announced, including Oliver Williams who takes up a permanent position as a solicitor within the Commercial Property team following the conclusion of his training contract.

There are also promotions for two of Gosschalks's existing secretarial staff, Sarah Lowthorpe and Charlotte Andrews, who take up paralegal roles in our Residential Property and Litigation departments respectively.

Speaking of the promotions, Joint Managing Partner, Andrew Johnson, commented:

“All these promotions are extremely well deserved. The firm has invested in their development and they have all risen to the challenge.

"Whilst they’re all technically proficient, they all possess the enthusiasm, drive and commitment required to succeed here at Gosschalks.”

The celebratory and welcome drinks budget was extended further following the announcement of a trio of new trainee solicitors: Emma Walley, Nick White and Philippa Collins. These all join the firm on a two-year trainee contract, increasing the number of trainee solicitors in the firm to six.

And finally, last but by no means least, Samantha Lowthorpe joins the Personal Injury team as a paralegal, and Lucy Hodges joins the Commercial Property team as a solicitor.

Joint Managing Partner, Nigel Beckwith, said:

“These continue to be exciting times for the firm. I have every faith that our new additions will each demonstrate the right qualities to embark on a long and rewarding career at Gosschalks.

"These promotions further demonstrate our investment in our people and the opportunities that exist within the firm for those who work hard and show dedication to providing outstanding service."
