Encouraging signs for the property market in Hull & East Yorkshire
According to latest property reports, over one-third of people feel that now is a good time to buy residential property. A clear sign that optimism is returning to the housing market.
Head of Residential Property, Julia Madden, said her team has seen strong indications that the Hull and East Yorkshire property market is beginning to flourish once again.
She comments: “New instructions have been flooding in and, while that is definitely an indication of a more buoyant market, I’d like to think our newly introduced service levels and significant investment in new team members has also played a role in our success.
"Referrals from agents and word-of-mouth have also increased significantly in recent months, which is particularly pleasing."
Gosschalks reports a noticeable growth in first-time buyers as well as investor clients who are building up their buy-to-let portfolios as a consequence of new pension planning freedoms.
Commenting on the reinvigoration of the Residential Property team and Katie's appointment, Julia continues:
“We are a vibrant, enthusiastic and friendly bunch, and Katie is a really good fit and a welcome addition to the team.
"She has a strong specialism in residential conveyancing, and is highly skilled and experienced in a variety of complicated technical issues that residential conveyancing can throw into the mix."
Katie adds: “I was delighted to join the team at Gosschalks. I'm looking forward to helping grow and develop the Residential Property team further, which is something the firm is very focussed on doing.
"The feedback we receive from clients indicates that we provide an outstanding service and that is certainly our aim as we try to make the process as quick and hassle free as possible for all concerned."
Nigel Beckwith, Joint Managing Partner of Gosschalks, said:
“Katie’s appointment is an important step in growing our Residential Property department to service increasing client demand, and to help build stronger working relationships with Agents and IFAs.
"The team already works closely with a number of our local and national commercial property clients. The pleasing thing is that many of them are repeat clients who have been using the firm for years.”
"We are also experiencing an increase in instructions from London-based clients and agents who tell us that we provide a London standard of service at a North of England rate. With modern technology, geography is no longer an issue, so this is another growth area we are keen to pursue.”
The Residential Property team at Gosschalks caters for the whole range of requirements. From conveyancing for property portfolio holders to traditional re-mortgage, sale and purchase conveyancing for first-time buyers, second and third steppers on the property ladder, through to equity release transactions for those wanting to unlock the capital tied up in their properties.
The team offers first-class customer service to all its clients. It operates under the Lexcel standard and the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditation.Return to the updates archive »
