Industry leaders crowned at the 2016 Constructing Excellence in Yorkshire and Humber Awards
Friday 1 July 2016 saw this year’s Constructing Excellence Yorkshire and Humber (CEYH) awards held at the New Dock Hall at The Royal Armouries in Leeds.
Gosschalks' Head of Construction Law and member of the awards judging panel, Matthew Fletcher, handed over the Gosschalks Project of the Year award for both Infrastructure and Building to the winning teams from Interserve (as pictured) and East Riding Yorkshire Council respectively.
Hosted by BBC Look North’s Business Correspondent, Danni Hewson, the CEYH event welcomed a record attendance of over 460 construction professionals representing the full spectrum of the industry to the spectacular “Swinging from the rooftops” themed awards evening aimed at celebrating the very best examples of constructing excellence and regional achievements in the built environment industry over the last twelve months.
A total of fifteen awards representing the core themes of the Constructing Excellence strategy were presented with Interserve securing the biggest prize haul of the night walking away with three awards for Integration and Collaborative Working, Achiever of the Year and the Project of the Year award for Factory 2050 ARMC at the University of Sheffield.
Liz Schofield, Business Manager for CEYH said “The CEYH awards provide the perfect platform to celebrate and promote the businesses which are truly moving our sector forward and as such they get bigger and bigger every year. “
“The sheer breadth of shortlisted projects, schemes and organisations featured show our region is at the forefront of industry creativity, driving up standards and finding new ways to work collaboratively to achieve cross industry benefit.”
Matthew Fletcher comments: "We are delighted to support and sponsor the CEYH awards for a third year as it provides the perfect opportunity to celebrate with those who are at the top of their industry in our region.
“Constructing Excellence Yorkshire and Humber (CEYH) delivers an outstanding programme of events to construction professionals within our region throughout the year and we are very happy to continue our support by hosting a series of CE events at our offices in Queens Gardens.”
