Kerry was born and grew up in Hull. She studied her A-Levels at Wilberforce College before graduating from the University of Hull with a 2:1 degree in Law (with German Law and Language), having spent a year studying law at the Heinrich Heine Universität in Düsseldorf, Germany.
After graduating, she studied part time at the College of Law in York for her LPC whilst working full time at a personal injury firm in Hull, and qualified as a Solicitor in 2011. She then moved on to be Head of Personal Injury at a firm in Leeds, and then Head of Litigation at a Doncaster firm. Kerry returned to Hull and joined the Property Litigation team at Gosschalks in 2018, where she covers a broad spectrum of work within the retail property sector, and in particular licensed premises.
Away from work, Kerry is an active member of her local amateur dramatics society, taking the lead role in the most recent production. She is also a keen cook.
