About Zoë…
Zoë was born in Hull and studied Law in Newcastle and then Chester Law College. She joined us in 1989 and qualified as a solicitor in 1991. A partner in the Commercial Property department, Zoë deals with a broad range of commercial property work and acts for various clients from small local businesses to large national PLCs.
“I enjoy the wide variety of work and the people I come into contact with every day. One minute I can be dealing with a large PLC with an estate comprising thousands of properties, and the same day I can meet someone who’s starting up a business.”
Her focus is on commercial landlord and tenant matters, and general estate management for large national clients. Zoë also acts for many longstanding local clients on a range of matters, including leases, options, acquisitions and disposals.
Over the past couple of years, Zoë has represented several local land owners. This has broadened her expertise in the negotiation of documentation in relation to the erection of wind turbines including heads of terms and options and leases.
“From a client’s point of view, it’s important to give full, clear instructions. Too much information is always better than too little. It’s amazing what you can pick up from a throwaway comment from your client, which then proves critical to a transaction.”
With over 20 years’ experience in her field, Zoë has built up a solid reputation as an efficient, professional advisor with a friendly, approachable manner.
“It’s always great when a client instructs me time and time again. Having worked at Gosschalks for many years, it’s been rewarding to watch many clients’ businesses grow and develop over time.”
